Steve Ferenz with his
25" walleye caught on Girl Lake on June 25. Beautiful
fish. A couple of other big "eyes" were caught that week also.
Walleye fishing is improving,
especially towards sunset. Several very big
walleye were caught this past week. Water temps on
the main lake have finally reached the low 70's now that we have
had several days of sunshine in a row.
Northern fishing has been good.
Lots of the fish caught are in the slot so they are bigger fish and
really fun to catch.
Blue gills
are finishing their spawning and starting to move into deep
water. Weed growth is
still two to three
weeks behind where we would normally expect it to be this time
of the year.
