We hope
that you have enjoyed our web site. This final page is
about us. Donna and I purchased the resort in 1992.
Before moving to the resort, we lived in Onamia, Minnesota,
where Terry was a partner in a real estate company selling
homes around Mille Lacs Lake. Donna worked at several
secretarial/clerical jobs in Onamia. For the past 18
years, Donna has been a paraprofessional at the Longville
and Remer elementary schools. It is a position that
she enjoys a great deal. Terry runs the resort, again,
a position that he enjoys.
We have two kids,
Evan and Leah. Both are now college grads and off on
their own. And on October 1, 2010, we added a third
member to our family. Evan and MaryAlecia Briggs were
married and we now have a new "daughter". More on that
below.
There aren't a lot of pictures
of Donna and I. This one was taken at Christmas, 2005, when both Leah and
Evan were home. We were very happy to have them both here for the holiday.

Evan is currently working in
Portland, Oregon, as a chemist. He is the quality control officer for a
small environmental testing lab there. Evan loves camping, canoeing,
kayaking and just about anything that can be done outdoors.
Evan and
MaryAlecia were married in a beautiful ceremony in Portland.
Donna, Leah and I were there for a wonderful time with them
and their friends. The wedding was a small affair for
family and close friends and the following day, they had a
reception for co-workers and more friends. We met
MaryAlecia's family for the first time.
After the reception,
we all returned to Minnesota where a second reception was
held for Donnas' and my families here at the resort.
We had great weather for October and many of the fall leaves
were still in color and on the trees.
MaryAlecia is an
office manager for an Oregon State Senator and the they
continue to live in Portland.
Note: If any
of Evan's friends see this, be sure to ask him about the
pink sheets he got (below) for a wedding present. It's
a great story.

Leah worked for a year or so with
the Audubon Societies Environmental Learning Center in Sandstone, Minnesota.
There she taught and worked with some of the birds and animals. Leah and
Cleo are pictured below. After leaving the Audubon Center, Leah traveled in New Zealand
for nine months. She hiked, scuba dove, jumped out of an airplane and generally
had a great time.
She is now working for the Heller
Nature Center in Highland Park, Illinois, as a Naturalist.
Instead of working with eagles and owls, she is now a bee
keeper.
