"Dun Rovin" is located perfectly to provide
guests with both great sunrises and incredible sunsets. The cottage sits on a
slightly elevated portion of the ridge with it's picture window facing almost due north.
All summer long the sun rises in the kitchen window and sets in the full set of
windows facing north and west. Add that to the beautiful view of most of Girl Lake
and you have a truly great location for those wanting to experience the full flavor of
Minnesota's northwoods.
The interior is a full, knotty pine and there
are lots of windows. Besides the two bedrooms, there is a futon for extra
guests. The cottage can comfortably accommodate six people sharing beds.
Somewhat smaller than "Homestead", it is a perfect cabin for couples looking for
that quiet place "Up North".
Outside, in the grassy space between
"Dun Rovin" and "Hom-A-Gin", is the greatest location for a campfire.
With an perfect view of the lake and a wide open view of the northern sky, there
are very few evenings that this campfire is not burning.
So bring your lawn chairs and marshmallows,
sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of northern Minnesota.
