Winter Notes
Deer Hunting Season
Although "The Sarajac"
is our only winterized cabin, we do make our other seasonal
cabins available to deer hunters. The drawback is that there is no running
water in the cabins. There is heat and the cabins stay nice and warm (as long as
the temps stay above 0*. If it gets colder than 0*, bring a warm, WARM, sleeping
bag.). We
also provide water for drinking and flushing the toilets as long as you are
willing to carry the water from the hydrant to the cabin. That's what you
bring along a younger guy for.
The chart below lists the
cabins reserved for deer season.
Normally, safe ice begins about the middle of
December. This past winter there was still open water at Christmas time, I
think, so you have to check ahead to be sure.
Snowmobiling
Cass County has over 400 miles of groomed
trails to ride your sled on. You can access those trails very easily from
the resort. Be sure to check with us for snow and trail conditions.
